Calgary International Airport is 11 miles northeast of downtown Calgary in Alberta, Canada. Access the airport using AB-2 N or the Edmonton Trail NE. Most flights to Manila Ninoy Aquino International (MNL) have several stops and typical flight times are 18 hours long. The airport is located 4.3 miles south of Manila. The NAIA/Nichols Exit of the Metro Manila Skyway and Andrews Avenue are connected through the NAIA Expressway in front of Terminal 3 and will bring visitors to central Manila. Public transportation, Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), serves the airport from different points of Metro Manila through eight bus routes.

The city of Manila is influenced by a variety of cultures from around the world. San Agustin, Quiapo, Malate and Masjid Al-Dahab are the spiritual centers of Manila. Fort Santiago, which was built by Spanish conquerors, is a living story of the establishment of the city. Cuartel de Santa Lucia was constructed in 1781 but was destroyed during World War II. It is now being converted into park standing as a memorial to the war.

The temperature range in Manila is small due to the proximity to the equator. Hot and humid weather is characteristic of the city all year. November through February is a relatively cooler period of the year while May is the hottest month. Temperatures stay mostly above 68 degrees yet rarely rise above 100 degrees.
