Ten miles from Baltimore and 30 miles from D.C., the Baltimore Balt/wash International (BWI) Airport tends to get busy. The Maryland Transit Authority offers light rail service to passengers coming from the downtown Boston area while the MARC train brings passengers from D.C. Flights usually last for nearly three hours to Houston George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) Airport. Take the METRO bus at the south side of Terminal C to go the 20 miles to downtown Houston. Taxis and shuttles are also available.
The Museum District of the city brings together all sorts of locations well worth the visit. Places like the Holocaust Museum, the Museum of Natural Science and the Museum of Fine Arts are all within close proximity. Minute Maid Park can be toured, even if the Houston Astros are not playing. The Houston Zoo is a great attraction for both kids and adults, and it is set up like a small city with plenty of room to spend hours exploring.
