After picking up the guitar as a teenager, the young Rick Springfield threw himself into music. He was part of several bands, but it wasn't until he joined Zoot that his career gained traction. He's continued to prolifically release new music, with hit songs like "I Get Excited," "Don't Talk to Strangers," "Affair of the Heart," and "Love Somebody." His memoir Late, Late at Night, released in 2010, has been lauded as an excellent insider glimpse into the world of rock and roll.
