Musical integrity throughout an evolutionary career

Growing up in a family that was constantly on the move, Andrew McMahon got his musical inspiration from his uncle, who was an artist. He was a natural at the piano, playing by ear. When he was just a teenager he started the band Something Corporate, which went on to play at Vans Warped Tour and to tour with New Found Glory. When Something Corporate went on hiatus in 2004, Andrew McMahon embarked on a solo project, Jack's Mannequin. With stylistic freedom, the artist found commercial success. Emotional and catchy, singles like "Dark Blue," "The Resolution," and "The Mixed Tape" became the soundtrack for teenagers around the country. However, in 2012 Andrew McMahon retired the name Jack's Mannequin and continued his musical evolution under his given name. With singles like "Synesthesia" and "Cecilia and the Satellite," Andrew McMahon has reassured fans his evocative soul stays the same, no matter what moniker he's using. As of 2014 he was still performing a solo act, however he changed his moniker again to be Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, which is the name he is still using to release new music under today.
