A Star in the Making
Hailing from Bromley, England, Peter Frampton picked up music at a young age when he found his grandmother's banjolele. At twelve years old, he was part of a band called The Little Ravens. He would hang out with fellow schoolmate David Bowie at lunch and play guitar. Peter Frampton went on to find success in the UK with various groups, including The Herd and Humble Pie.
A Breakout Solo Career
Peter Frampton decided to go solo in 1971, releasing his first album, Winds of Change, with special appearances by Ringo Starr and Billy Preston. However, it wasn't until four years later that he really found international success. His first live album, Frampton Comes Alive!, was six times platinum-certified. His singles "Breaking All the Rules," "Baby, I Love Your Way," "I'm in You," and many others dominate the classic rock airwaves. Over the course of his career, Frampton has been nominated and won several Grammy Awards and has produced several hits within the rock landscape.
2019 Peter Frampton Farewell Tour
After announcing he had been diagnosed with a degenerative muscle disease in early 2019, Frampton also announced that he would be launching a farewell tour for the summer of 2019. Kicking off in June at The Joint- in Tulsa, Oklahoma the tour travelled throughout the country for most of the summer with stops in Boston, Cincinnati, Philadelphia and Nashville. The emotional final performance was in October at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, California.
