History of the Jets

The Jets began their history in 1959 under the name of the Titans of New York. Titans are larger than Giants, the other major team in New York at the time, so this was the inspiration for the name. In 1964, the team sold the first New York Jets tickets.

The original Jets logo actually depicted an airplane with the name "Jets." The Jets replaced this logo the following year with a new one that showed the team name displayed on a football instead.

The New York Jets stadium

The New York Jets and Giants both play outside of their namesake states; both play at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It's convenient to know that you can get Jets game tickets in the same place as the Giants.
