A Detour Leads to a New Passion

Growing up in Florida, Joshua Owen was focused on sports, not music. But a wakeboarding accident forced him to sit on the sidelines for a while. While he was recuperating from surgery, he started teaching himself guitar. Sparked by a new passion, he started writing his own material and playing on the local bar scene, eventually relocating to Nashville to seriously pursue a music career. After signing with RCA Nashville and changing his name to Jake, he released his feel-good debut single, "Yee Haw." Shining with promise from his 2016 debut album, Jake Owen toured with Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, and Brooks & Dunn. The hard work of touring paid off with a legion of devoted fans, and singles like "Don't Think I Can't Love You," "The One That Got Away," and "Anywhere with You" became country radio hits. In 2012 he snagged the American Country Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and several years later he's still soaring on the radio airwaves. His album Greetings From…Jake, out in 2019, hit the No. 8 spot on the Billboard Country album chart, selling 4,000 copies in the first week!

2020 Tour

Beginning in mid-February Jake Owen went on tour for his latest album out in 2019 titled Greetings From…Jake. His first stop was in Des Moines, IA at the Hoyt Sherman Place.
