"We tried to check in at 1pm and no king rooms were available, when back at 10pm there was an unhappy customer requiring both desk clerks and the manager, the problem unknown to us. When we got to the counter the one clerk started laughing…it seems that customer wanted a king room and mine was the last one. The manager wanted to give my room away since I hadn’t checked in yet, despite it being fully paid for. But fortunately the clerk had awareness of some people arriving late and said no, my timing was obviously perfectly timed.
