"The room was very clean and all the conveniences were provided. There was a hair dryer, ironing board., and iron, a tv, and clock, a refrigerator and ice and buckets located downstairs. Dual shades provided light or dark. The rooms were a bit smaller but clean and all conveniences. The beds were comfortable and a variety of pillows, both soft and firm. The two elevators were operating. There were outside seating provided. Breakfast was provided with eggs, potatoes, and meats, cereals, and oatmeal, yogurt, great coffee, and juices.Snacks and drinks were available for purchase. The staff was friendly and helpful. The lack of pool was not an issue for us at all. We will be back. 🌟🌟🌟🌟"

"Toilet seat was not properly secured to the toilet; Shower curtain not fitted for the rail on which it's on, therefor, allowing a significant amount of water to cover the bathroom floor. (A potential safety hazard) No rail of any kind affixed or mat in/on bathtub surface to hold on to or prevent one (Especially older people, from a serious slipping hazard) Water leaking from the bottom of the sink structure, that leaked onto the floor. (Also, a slipping Safety hazard) Suggested fix: Have housekeeping (or someone) should check ALL aspects of the room daily (IE: Toilet, bathtub, sink. lights, TV, phone, refrigerator, microwave, HVAC, etc.) to insure there are NO safety hazards, before declaring the room fit for use. Just so you'll know, I like Motel6, use them a lot but have noticed over the years, that they are NOT as well maintained as they once were. That's a shame. ~ Tim Runfola"

"The property and staff were wonderful as usual. Our issue is that they now charge for parking. This fee is new, as we have stayed here many times in the past. This property is not in a location that would need to have exclusive rights to parking and charging to park here is ridiculous. The hotel is located in an area all by itself. It is not the actual amount of the fee that is upsetting, it's the principal of an unexpected add-on nuisance fee. This parking fee even though it is a small amount, is a money grab by the owners who must want to keep their nightly rate artificially low by nickel and diming you instead."

"We had a 1 night stay while traveling and found this La Quinta to meet our needs! Close to I-81, nice sized room with comfortable king bed, excellent breakfast in the morning, and near to Salem, VA, where we ate at Awful Arthur’s and enjoyed an excellent supper! Highly recommend!"
