Indeed this was a very spacious unit with beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea from all five balconies. We drove a rental to the unit, and there was plenty of on-street parking nearby to use. On the beach side of town, most of the amenities like restaurants and shops are within a fifteen minute walk, either on the beach or by street. The host Ramón and staff were communicative, attentive, and discreet. It was a very private getaway spot for us to plan our adventures in town and across the Riviera Maya. We appreciated the dual washer-dryer, the large jugs of purified water, and high-performing heat pumps. Friendly neighbors and guests next door. Be prepared to climb four flights of stairs. Additional restaurants and shops in the Colonia side are about 5-10 minutes away by car, or about 2 mile walk or bicycle ride. Wifi was great, coming in at 100 Mbps download, 40 Mbps upload. TVs with streaming services in each room, if that matters to you. Although we only used glasses for drinking and some cookware for a little breakfast—we mostly ate out—it would also have been nice to buy ingredients at the Chedraui by Parque Los Fundadores and cook some Mexican food at “home.” Songbirds all day, especially during the morning, are a delight. We also saw Vaux’s swifts, pelicans, sea gulls, frigate birds, and possibly an albatross from the balconies. Check reports from Centro de Monitoreo Ambiental y Sargazo
