The window was small and had a permanent inside glass cover so could not be opened. This kept the room very quiet but the air conditioning was slow and not very responsive so we would have preferred an open window.

Checkin is at 3:00 but told room was not ready at 4:00. Sheets and pillowcase had blood stains on them. No coffee in room. Cafe in lobby had broken oven and could not even open one morning which meant a block walk for coffee. Elevator not working one day. $20 glass of wine in hotel bar seems ridiculous. Rooms are nothing special, sterile looking. Good location.

We enjoyed our stay immensely and would happily stay at Hotel Belleclaire again! The room is a bit small, but a folding luggage rack in the closet would help. Also, I highly recommend adding recycling bins to the room. Thanks for the water on arrival!

A great location, only a short block from the Red 1 Line (downtown and uptown). Recently renovated, the rooms are slightly bigger than most central NY hotels. Staff were very friendly and helpful- umbrellas handed out on a rainy day. It has a bar (good cocktails), but no restaurant. Breakfast is a $10 per person voucher for the bakery and coffee shop in the hotel (although not owned by them). Pastries were excellent, although of note, it doesn’t open until 7am if you are an early bird! If you don’t use the vouchers there, they can be used in the bar, which is a nice touch. It has a well equipped gym too. Location wise, a very safe area and easy to walk and get MTA. Great value for $. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful hotel close to Natural History Museum

So happy with our stay. Family trip. Really appreciated the 3 beds in the room. Bathroom was nice & worked well for a family of 4. Clean and well maintained. Staff helpful and friendly. AC in room worked great. Mini fridge was a nice amenity. Wonderful location about 3 blocks from Natural History Museum. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Only thing that could be improved was to have our trash emptied every day.
