Our major difficulty was because we could not get water that was hot enough for showers or hand washing for the first two days of our stay. We ran the water for more than 5 minutes in the sink and shower and still had Luke warm water. On our last day I had a hot shower. Also the bathroom did not have heating coming directly in. The maintenance staff member came up and said we needed to keep the door to the bedroom open to have heat in the bathroom. He offered to change our room but said other rooms had no heat coming directly into the bathroom so we stayed. I think the hotel has remodeled without good planning for the heating system or else the boiler, which is in the basement, was not functioning well.

The rooms were spacious and located in a convenient area. However, the hotel did not clean the rooms daily, and fresh towels were not provided daily. It would have been better if they had been provided daily, especially since we were there for six nights. Given the amount of money we spent per night, this kind of service is expected.

Had to request a larger room because the bathroom is so small. I have never seen one that small. You are lucky if you can fit past the super small sink and the shower stall to get to the toilet! We were moved to a nice larger room with a larger nice bathroom, however, you could only have cold showers!

Clever room options for families that you rarely find in Manhattan, fabulous location on the Upper West Side, near the 1 subway, Trader Joe’s, Zabars, and the Beacon Theatre. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff that go out of their way to welcome you. Clean with so much character and charm. French bakery in the lobby is *chefs kiss* parfait. What a gem!

The room was clean and just right for an overnight visit to NYC. Purchased through Expedia, great price. Meal/drink vouchers were a nice touch! Got a nightcap, and then breakfast in the am. We are in NYC a few times a year, I'll definitely check this hotel first!
