The staff at the from desk were not very personable. A simple smile would have made the difference. Instead I felt like I was disturbing them.

This is walking distance from major attractions. The bell boy and cab service are a plus. This is very close to 5th avenue and hence pretty noisy from traffic, ongoing construction and emergency/utility vehicles from street. The elevator availability is limited. Some front desk members take forever to check in and providing the card keys and were not even providing the complimentary water bottles upon checking in.

The location is not great and the rooms are small. The hotel charges a $30 urban destination fee per night, which gives you a $30 credit at the restaurant, which equates to a cheeseburger. Yes, a cheeseburger costs $30.

The staff of this embassy suite was excellent. While we were there, there were a few issues and they were taken care of quickly and kindly. They stored our bags before our flight, which was very nice and much needed. The room was VERY small, and needs to be freshened up. Floors were scratched, walls banged up in room and hallways. Our window overlooked a brick office building maybe 10 feet from our window. The breakfast was nice, but there was not enough seating for all of the rooms. So many times we would just skip it because there was no place to sit. Our TV stopped working while we were there for two days. Our door lock quit working because it needed a new battery. And one night at midnight, the fire alarm kept going off. So quite honestly, this was not our best stay at an embassy suites. We stayed at them before and they were much nicer.

We had a great time except for a couple days we had to walk down 10 flight of stairs after waiting over 15 minutes for the elevator.

Bed was comfy/clean, included breakfast & rooftop cinema club were both awesome, and I’m so glad we got the room with a balcony facing the Empire State Building; the size of the balcony and the view were incredible. Of all the things we saw/did I was always excited to get back and relax on the balcony. So lovely.

Great location, super friendly and helpful staff, great amenities and price. Only negative was the elevators being so slow.

Great location. Poor signage. Bed was comfortable, pillows allittle too soft. Dining area for breakfast and reception very tight/small. Food was ok. During our 4day/3 night stay, the alarm system was going off often even as late as 11pm. Elevators are small and the light to indicate the direction was on the inside of the elevator. For the price, I would probably check out somewhere else next time I visit NYC.
