The facility is outdated, the entire hotel is kept so cold I had to have a jacket on all the time. The staff is not friendly they all look like they are not happy with their jobs. Service is poor no one offer to get you a drink, At the pool area after you get your own food and drink the staff walk up and down ignore the dirty plates and glasses. Entertainment is poor, the place is like a ghost town, no holiday theme. This was the worst RIU I stayed. I now realized not all RIU operates the same. I would never go back to RIU in Nassau Bahamas

I really enjoyed the outside restaurant that served jerk chicken and ribs everday for lunch. The only thing that was great was there lack of entertainment. The a very small group and they didnt have very many games. My husband and i love to have and engage however there were very limit thing to participate in. Also they gave you value buck everyday in where u could get in an auction for prizes, but only auctioned the same prizes a medium shift that would fit a child and coffee mugs. With better entertainment and engagement this could be a wonderful place to go and revisit.

The hotel is old and it needs upgrading.. Avoid this location if you can. We have been to several RIU locations and this one was the worst. Poor amenities, poor services and poor food options.

The staff were very nice and friendly. The room was very nice. The balcony was very attractive but work was being done and left it dirty. The food options were quite good for vegetarians. The hotel is not the same as other Riu places. Didn’t have the same amenities. The hot tub or sauna was not working. It certainly was compact. I certainly think it should not be a 4 or 5*. Perhaps a3.5 * will more appropriate. The location was great.

My stay at Bahamas Riu was truly unforgettable from start to finish. This resort deserves every bit of praise because the experience was that good. The moment I checked in, I felt the warmth and hospitality that the staff is known for. Every single person I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure guests were happy. Whether it was at the front desk, the restaurants, housekeeping, or the entertainment team, everyone went above and beyond with a smile. One of the major highlights for me was the 24/7 bar. The vibes? Immaculate. The drinks? Always on point. The bartenders kept the energy high and created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere no matter what time it was. You can literally stop by at any hour and expect great service, good music, and a whole vibe. The resort itself is stunning; clean, modern, and truly well kept. The food options were great, the entertainment was lively, and the pool and beach areas were absolutely beautiful. You can relax, party, explore, or just enjoy the scenery… whatever mood you’re in, the Riu delivers. Overall, this trip was a solid 10/10, and I’m honestly already thinking about when I can book my next stay. If you’re considering coming to the Bahamas, save yourself the searching — Bahamas Riu is the place to be!

Great variety of food, plenty of entertainment, great location from local activities but there was a roach found crawling in the bathroom. In my mind it was roaming around the room and the room was not as clean as it should have been as I was worried about transporting it back home in my luggage. I have a photo I can provide. If not for that incident I would’ve felt the experience would’ve been much better.

This was the first time we stayed at RIU hotels. Hotel was in perfect location, right on the beach. Beach was amazing, clean, yellow sand. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and buffet was amazing. It was a challenge to book specialty restaurants. In 7 night 8 day stay we were only able to book restaurants twice.
