The facility is outdated, the entire hotel is kept so cold I had to have a jacket on all the time. The staff is not friendly they all look like they are not happy with their jobs. Service is poor no one offer to get you a drink, At the pool area after you get your own food and drink the staff walk up and down ignore the dirty plates and glasses. Entertainment is poor, the place is like a ghost town, no holiday theme. This was the worst RIU I stayed. I now realized not all RIU operates the same. I would never go back to RIU in Nassau Bahamas

Drop your dress code, this is a beach resort & you aren’t the Four Seasons. Plus you impose it on some people and not everyone? Fail. Your entire dinner reservations system/idea is terrible, you can only book a res 2 days out, no more and they are all taken, EVERYDAY. Not cool, get rid of that. What’s the point of all inclusive if I can’t eat at any of your restaurants? So I’m basically just paying for 1 buffet everyday then. NO restroom at the beach, no restroom at the bar, no restroom at the pool, no restrooms at the restaurants- 1 lobby bathroom ONLY. Unacceptable. Especially if you’re on the sand, having to run all that way every time you have to go is ridiculous. You need staff elevators. Smelly, bulky trash bins riding up with guests is a big no-no. Food was good, (worth mentioning the banana cake was so good), staff was mostly friendly, walking distance to Atlantis. Rooms need maintenance, poor repair and NOT while the guests are staying in the room. Had a full on big size workers paint cart that goes up and down the side of the building parked outside my balcony all day, for multiple days. Couldn’t even sit out there or open my curtains. Patio door would not stay closed (and this was in room #3 cuz they all had issues.) Please get some tall trees to block that hideous eyesore that is ruining all of your superior ocean view rooms. I’m looking at the trashed, dirty, maintenance backend of an abandoned Atlantis building with workers & noise all day and night.

Firstly I asked for something special to be done like a champagne bottle or something upon arrival as I came for a birthday. Nothing was done! Next the blanket was this scratchy purple thing. No comforter very low budget for how much this place cost. I was in room 319 and the mirror was filled with black dots all over I couldn’t get a single sensible picture I. The only full length mirror in there, so again very low budget for such a expensive place. When I arrived the balcony was filthy I actually asked the bellman for a broom to clean it up ( he did it himself but it should’ve already been done). The bar service only came once the whole trip and rushed in and out. I saw a roach in the buffet area but the servers were very friendly. There’s nothing bar with quality liquor I expected at least 1 bar to have premium drinks. The 24hour bar was cool. I’ve simply been to nicer Rius this one needs an upgrade for sure which I saw happening as i walked on my balcony and a man was working along the side thank God I was fully clothed that was startling. Room service is very limited as well. Overall 5.9/10 we won’t be revisiting this location probably until major upgrades are done.

Ocean view was terrible with a view of a roof. We discussed this with the manager Terri and she was extremely rude and would only offer us to pay more per day for a different room even though we paid for ocean view ... she stated we don't have the "shitiest room" Another person told Terri her room was cold and that she was being treated for cancer and it would help if her room could be warmer.. Terri then proceeded to say "you look healthy to me" The balcony was so small with only one chair. We could not even sit out. The toilet ran every 1-2 minutes even after putting a work order in. I have pictures and videos if Expedia would like to see them. This was not even the busy season for this resort so please beware. We saved up for this trip and was so looking forward to it... I could not wait to get back home.

The staff was amazing , and the hotel was very clean. Food was very good, although the restaurants booked fast and we were only able to book one evening. The pools were great to hang out at during the day. The nightlife at the Calypso bar was half decent. Great location, but the beach was red flagged for the duration of our stay, shame we couldn’t wade in the ocean. The in-room phone did not work and neither did the room safe. The place is definitely due for a remodel.
