Recently we had a repeat stay at The Beach Club Hotel in Parksville BC. Our first stay in May was “perfect” and we were eager to experience the same. Sadly, it wasn’t In May 2025 our third floor suite was in the west side of the hotel accessed by interior halls. This visit our suite, also on the third floor was accessed by an outside walkway and very open to the weather conditions. Our suite was the last eastern unit overlooking a parking lot. Yes, there was a beach view but limited compared to our first visit. The parking lot was noisy from vehicle movement particularly at night. Our first visit was quiet, peaceful and the suite the cleanest I ever experienced. Not this time! For two nights the children in the above suite, leapt off beds etc. for 2 hours before the front desk was notified and appeared to stop the pounding overhead. Our room was not the cleanest. Marks on coffee table glass, mirrors unclean, and dusty all remained throughout our stay. Oddly the large window overlooking the beach had a lengthy what looked like fresh black chalking running the height of the window leaving a very uneven and sticky mess on white window frame. No glazier installed. The room looked a little worn and tired. On our last morning the elevator was out of order. Hefting luggage down outside stairs to basement parking lot was a sad end to what could have been “perfect” as in the past.

Room was spotless. Staff very courteous & genuinely helpful. Enjoyed our dinner in the Club’s restaurant- menu was not large but nice offerings and food was good. Drew was an excellent waiter. Enjoyed the gym & indoor pool.
