This is an absolutely wonderful property. THE best I’ve stayed-at, and I’m very particular. It was so clean, quiet, and comfortable, and it’s located in a private, peaceful area. From the smallest factors (full hand-soap and dish-soap containers; wide variety of clean dishes), to the larger aspects (plush couches; TVs placed at eye-level; smooth cotton sheets; comfortable pillows and beds; spotless fridge, stove, microwave, bathrooms; controllable electric heat in each room; big windows that open for fresh forest air; new washer and dryer), everything about this property is perfect. My husband and I are eager to stay there again. It’s great knowing we’ve found THE perfect spot for future vacations in the Parksville area of Vancouver Island. (And the owners — Jennifer and Rodney — make themselves available via mobile nbr if you have any questions. They are lovely, approachable, kind people.)

This was our second stay in this unit, although I believe it has a different host now. Luckily, all the features were as fabulous as before. Comfortable beds with plenty of pillows. Fully appointed kitchen. Functional gas fireplace. And everything sparkling clean and inviting. Jennifer was quickly responsive one evening when the electronic door lock wouldn't let us in, and she worked out a solution for us. From this quiet setting adjacent to Rathtrevor Park, you can easily walk to the beach and forest, a pub dinner at the Black Goose, and a fun mini-golf course. We hope to return soon. Thanks for a peaceful stay during a sad time for my family.

Fabulous location in the Tanglewood development. A 4 minute walk to pristine Rathtrevor Beach. Jennifer’s home is perfectly equipped, clean and luxurious. We felt like we had a spa retreat extended weekend. Jennifer was very responsive to all our queries. Loved our stay.

The property is just like in the photos. It is in a beautiful spot with a short walk to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped. Would highly recommend it for a relaxing holiday.

Wedding Stay

Our son was getting married near Parksville and so we booked this location to be near family staying at other resorts. We also needed enough room to accommodate extended family. We were so happy with the accommodations, how well equipped the place was and the communications with Jennifer. It all exceeded our expectations and the groom and guys ended up using the place to get ready with the photographer. Highly recommended and would love to come back!

Lovely end of summer getaway!

We had a really nice stay at this property. Super clean, lots of space. Cozy place to relax in after a day on the beach or out exploring many of the beautiful lakes/rivers in the area. We'd have no hesitation booking here again or recommending it to others. Would be lovely in winter too.

Great getaway

The cottage was perfect for 3 adult couples. We made dinner two of the nights, and there was everything we needed to do so in the well appointed kitchen. Very clean and comfortable.
