"The room was good. Loved sitting on the balcony. Mine had a partial view of the beach but was still a really good view. The location is fantastic. The pool was fun, although there is a coating on the bottom of the kids splash pad that tore up my granddaughters legs and feet. Very rough. My only complaint is breakfast. It is a resort town but still only has breakfast during the week until 9 so everyone rushed down at 8:30 to eat. And the way they have the breakfast items organized makes the line move super slow. The bread and toaster is the first thing in the line so people stop there and toast their bread holding up the entire line. If that was placed at the end then people who didn’t want bread would be able to move through the line much faster. The breakfast was good. I do like that there are 2 separate areas serving different items but both areas were not organized for optimal people moving so the experience wasn’t the best. Overall a great stay. Very nice to just walk across to the beach. Papa’s Pizza is right in front of the hotel and the food is fantastic. So many choices to eat and not just pizza so was also nice not having to get in the car to drive after a sandy day at the beach. Great choice for a hotel in Galveston."
