This hotel's superpower is its location.

Stayed in Lucerne for the first 3 nights of a longer Switzerland trip, and I'm super happy I ended up with the Hotel Weisses Kreuz for the hotel. Some reviewers will probably say the rooms are small, but I found the room to be pretty much perfect given the purpose of the room. You're sleeping here. That's it. We didn't have a view out the window, but didn't need one because we were one flight of stairs away from being in the middle of old Lucerne and staring at the Chapel Bridge. This is the part that wasn't clear when I was booking that would have helped. The scale isn't super easy to figure out when you're looking at a map. The location of this hotel is absolutely fabulous. Exit the hotel and turn left and you're a few steps from all the restaurants with patios that overlook the river Reuss and the aforementioned Chapel Bridge. Turn right instead, and you're in the middle of a shopping area in old Lucerne. It gets even better - you're really close to the bus/train/boat stations in Lucerne. This hotel is perfect as a base of operations while you explore the area by train or boat. Walking to either takes no more than 10 minutes. Breakfast was included in my stay, and each day we were greeted by the amazing staff at the hotel and had a great breakfast. It's typical EU breakfast - some eggs, cereals and sliced meat, but it's exactly what you need to start the day.

Luzern Hotel 🇨🇭

We stayed two nights and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The location of the hotel is perfect and there’s so much to do and see in Luzern. Our room was quiet and comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant with excellent service and food. All staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Excellent - recommend, super reception staff!

We booked this hotel due to location, and what a gem! Super highly recommend for a short or long stay. On first meeting of the front reception staff - we knew we had made the right choice. Friendly, fun, happy, helpful, great English, awesome! Thank you! Standard double room with King Bed : The bed was comfy, great size, loved the overhead fan instead of air con, cute wee bathroom with perfect size shower cubicle with awesome water pressure, windows easy open to fresh air if needed. Surprise was the door opened to a very large outdoor verandah, all to ourselves! The coffee and tea supplied was great and the mini fridge was a bonus. The location was perfect - right in the old town. Thanks team - you helped to make our visit to Lucern memorable.

Hotel was very very noisy and very hot no air conditioning the size of bathroom and shower very small you can’t get to shower to wash yourself and when you complain they say we have only 21 rooms and we are lucky we got room because this city very small with a few Hotels🤔they don’t even let you know we booked our room with breakfast they tell us you should know but if you want to buy is $15.00 per person…….

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the location is excellent — close to many restaurants and conveniences. However, the hotel is situated above a shop on a busy street, which can be very noisy at night. There is no air conditioning, so during a heatwave, the room became almost unbearable. Unfortunately, keeping the windows open for ventilation only made the noise worse. Great service and location, but be prepared for potential discomfort in hot weather.

Our room was clean and had nice amenities such as free bottled still and sparkling water available. The room was spacious but the bathroom was slightly cramped and the entrance to the shower was narrow. The bed was large and comfortably firm with nice bedding and pillows. We were on the 2nd floor and could hear the excitement in the alley below into the late evening. There was no AC but there was a nice ceiling fan that we used. This hotel has a restaurant and its entrance is along a larger alley whereas the hotel lobby entrance is down a narrow alley toward the lake. The first time we entered we inadvertently came through the restaurant. The hotel is in close proximity to several restaurants and shops. It was easy to walk to the train station as well.

The room was clean and the location was great. The employees were quite courteous and the restaurant food was good. However, the room was also quite cramped with the shower being exceptionally small. With no AC we had to open the window. Unfortunately, the noise both from the hotel restaurant and the restaurant next door made so much noise we had to close it and the room became stifling. The restaurants stay open late and then their cleanup lasted until midnight.
