Great location. Hotel is less than 5 minutes walk as you exit ( left direction ) from Lucerne Barhoff ( train station ). Hotel is 10-15 minutes walk to (museum) Rosengart Collection, Lake Prominade, Jesuit Church, Chapel’Bridge, Old town streets, restaurants and boutiques. Excellent front desk staff & house keeping, good breakfast. Newly renovated rooms.

This Lucerne hotel has perfect location to transportation. Yet quiet and comfortable. Staff was polite and helpful. However they did have a problem with billing which they worked to resolve. Restaurant staff was kind and provided excellent service/food. I recommend this hotel for a stay in Lucerne

We only stayed one night but it was a wonderful experience. Recently refurbished to a very high standard . Food was excellent, but rather unusually they charged for tap water. Very comfortable beds. Didn’t stop for breakfast, but the aroma of bacon cooking at 6.00 am was very tempting!

Really liked everything about The Waldstaetterhof. It’s not typical for a really nice hotel to be located next to a transportation hub like a train station. This was a nice change of pace. Great amenities and lots of restaurants, stores and attractions close by. Would stay here again.

We absolutely loved this place! The staff were all so friendly and kind. The rooms were nice!! The beds were so comfy! The location was PERFECT. We couldn’t recommend this place enough. One thing to be mindful of, the shower water would randomly change temperature (it would suddenly go ice cold or very hot) and then go back to the normal temperature you set. It was strange. We would stay here any and every time we were in Luzern without hesitation! Ps. Go to “Bakery Bakery” for coffee and amazing treats!

I was positively surprised by this hotel. Being a heritage building it was still modern and comfortable inside and in impeccable condition. I got a spacious and bright room in the quiet courtyard. There was even a small balcony and espresso maker. The mattress was a bit too soft for my back and the first night it was a bit cold in the room. The breakfast could also include plant-based milk. However, l loved the location a few steps from the railway station and l thouroughly enjoyed my stay.
