The elevator didn't work so my pregnant wife had to use the stairs. The pool was freezing cold, filled with too many chemicals, and had a lot of trash in it touching my feet at the bottom. The place tries to be fancy but is more like a polished turd. No matter what you do to it it is still a turd. Maybe a good suggestion would be to aim toward business people or families, not both. It's almost like this place is trying to do too much as once and failing in all areas. We wouldn't even go in the pool a second time. We stayed 2 days at this place. The week prior we stayed at Holiday Inn Grand Rapids - South by IHG. Both hotels are 3 star rated. The Holiday Inn in Grand Rapids was far superior stay in all areas compared to this polished turd Embassy Suite Hilton. Lastly, I was charged $200 a day deposit. I have never had to do that. And for being such a bad hotel why would they charge a deposit anyway? This hotel is not good."

"Well-maintained, well-staffed, and clean in a great location just steps from the bus to DTW, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Only half a mile walk to the riverfront convention center and even closer to Comerica Park and Ford Field."
