Better choices

Clean older room, location is convenient but very noisy, light pollution is terrible and staff would not check anyone in a minute before 3. This led to a dozen people waiting in the lobby until 3.

Valet parking as soon as u arrive. The front desk was very polite and helpful. Wish there was brighter lighting n the room when needed. Room 308 has a camera outside of the window on the building next to it. Make sure that the blinds are closed

Close to downtown, however room was very warm in the upper part of bedroom and you could hear everything through the walls. Smelled like mold! And no one we encountered was very friendly.

We used valet parking, which was an extra cost but well worth the convenience. We had breakfast at the cafe, which was lovely. The room was a little noisy (could hear street nose, ambulance, etc.) but it was quiet enough when we went to sleep. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was tiny but clean and functional. Loved the ambiance of the hotel.

The ambience was amazing. Very hip, very cool, and impeccable service. Ivory at the front desk explained everything warmly and thoroughly and made clear that he was there to help and answer any questions at all. Every employee we encountered smiled and greeted us warmly. Our beds were incredibly comfortable, shower was massive and I loved that robes were provided. I am sad we were only there for one night! But now I've found my go to hotel for whenever I visit Detroit <3

The bathroom door did not shut all the way so did not lock; it was a pocket door that didn't slide shut all the way. The air conditioner did not work at all. Came into a room that was 77 degrees and after turning the air way down did not cool the room at all, we had to sleep with the window cracked open (crack was all that was allowed) to get the room cooled at all. We were really glad we had a nice cool evening in October and not a 90-degree summer day, it would have been miserable!
