SEE REVIEW FOR PREVIOUS NiGHT STAY (day before). They made us check in for 2nd night, right after already checking in for 1st night. Wouldn’t give us $20 food voucher for 2nd day. Had to follow ridiculous policy rules for 20 minutes, including returning keys and getting new keys back again for same room! Never staying here again! This is my review for 2nd night stay..already gave one review. Terrible staff & service at reception!!!!!

We have stayed here at least 10 nights in the past couple years. We picked this hotel because of its location, within walking distance of the Fox Theatre and also the sports venues. Our rooms were very spacious, clean, great bed & pillows… but we will NEVER stay here again! The issue is the way we were treated by the reception/ check-in staff. We came here for a Pistons basketball game and had the room booked for one night. While here we decided to stay an extra night to go to a Detroit Red Wings game. Well, that became a nightmare booking the same room for an extra night. We would have changed rooms if it was not available for 2nd night. But we ran into the hotel’s ridiculous policy of adding an extra night. They made it as difficult and harassing as possible. First of all, we had to go back to reception the 2nd morning to check in AGAIN! And before 11:00 am. Then they said there were no rooms available yet and come back in 2 hours! So we went for a long walk. Then upon check-in 2nd time they wanted our ID. I told the receptionist that they had already taken a copy of my ID and our name and info should be on the computer, and I left my ID/passport in the room. But my husband has his ID, could they use that? NO! I had made the booking, then a series of ridiculous re- booking policies followed, including giving the keys back & getting same keys to same room again! Making it as difficult as possible for customers, unkind & unfriendly..don’t care.NEVER coming here again!

Staff was very helpful. Room was clean. No bath robes in the room which, it said there was in the description. Docked some stars because I didn’t love how the spa was set up. My fiancé and I wanted to use a hot tub together and they were gender separate. So kind of a bummer.

There is no breakfast menue. No room service. No bell hops. Staff is friendly. Property is older and rooms need a refresh. Bed was comfortable. Nice bathroom.
