"Staff is super friendly & helpful. I came with my sister & her husband. Nice view of the lake between the buildings. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable. The door from the bathroom to the bedroom wouldn't shut all the way and was very tough to open & close. No sound barrier between the bathroom and the bedroom & main area--you could hear everything, as if the doors were open. The bathroom sink dripped continuously. There was rust on the bathroom door hinges which leaked toward the shower. Fitness facility is very nice with lots of options for cardio and strength-training. The lobby has a wonderful spa-like scent."

"Our room overlooked the Riverwalk. The view was amazing. The fresh, crisp linens and comfortable bed were greatly appreciated after long days of walking and sightseeing. Members of the hotel staff were very helpful, whether providing directions or supplying fresh towels. They were kind and courteous and made us feel welcomed. The location of the River Hotel could not be more convenient, as it is in the heart of the city, making it easy to get to bus lines and trains. I would highly recommend River Hotel for your next visit to Chicago."
