"I was very disappointed with my recent stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott. The room was not properly cleaned upon arrival, which immediately set a negative tone for the visit. In addition, there was no electrical power in the bathroom, making it impossible for me to use a hair dryer or get ready properly. These are very basic expectations for any hotel stay, and unfortunately, they were not met. I hope management addresses these issues to prevent future guests from having a similar experience."

"When checking in, the staff were very attentive and welcoming, which made a positive first impression. However, after arriving in my room, I carried out a routine check and found multiple small hairs and some stains on the bed sheets. I returned to reception to request a room change. At this point, I was assisted by a different member of staff who informed me I could not be moved and would need to wait for the room to be cleaned, despite it having already been prepared. Unfortunately, no apology was offered, and the interaction left me feeling quite uncomfortable. Shortly after, the original staff member returned, apologised sincerely, and kindly arranged an upgrade to what I was told would be a clean room. I appreciated this effort. However, upon checking the new room, I again found several long hairs in the bed, along with what appeared to be toenail clippings in the room. Due to my earlier experience, I did not feel comfortable raising the issue again and instead cleaned the area myself. Additionally, as a solo female traveller, I did not feel safe in the surrounding area. There appeared to be a significant number of people sleeping rough nearby, which may be important for other guests to be aware of when considering their stay. Overall, it is disappointing to leave this review, especially given the positive start. However, due to the cleanliness issues and my overall experience, I would not choose to stay here again or recommend the property."

"Pool area was small and a little run down. Rooms were good beds comfortable and the staff was great! My family had a great time even though the Jacuzzi was out of commission! Location was perfect valet parking was $70 per day, which is excessive for a guest to pay!!"

"What a cute hotel! Staff was always very kind and helpful. Rooms were cute, really clean, and had good amenities. We had the smallest room and the space was super tiny, but we managed just fine. Everything was awesome. Only downside is valet parking is spendy, expect to hear the street sounds, and the old historic self open elevator is a bit of a hassle, especially when carrying luggage. But even after all that, I still give it 5 stars!"
