We are vegetarians in our room, smelt like bacon from the kitchen downstairs when we complain to the staff a woman at the reception was skeptical. Why would I lie about something like that?

Great hotel

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and attentive. I love the complimentary cocktails and snacks. Beds were super comfy and I love the santal 33 bath supplies. I do wish the rooms were bigger, but that’s ok, the location and proximity to restaurants and stores made up for it.

From the time I walked in the door I could see this was a step above the average hotel. Staff is very friendly and inviting. I was immediately offered a cocktail, which by the way was excellent. I definitely recommend The Granger Hotel to anyone visiting San Diego.

My rating goes a lot into personal experience but the room was very small for the price nit only that they forget to mention that there is no parking in the area and you have to pay 65 for valet that i did not know before getting this hotel if i would have know i would not have chosen this location.

SD theater night

Welcoming front staff, free cocktail upon arrival (nice touch), rooms are not spacious but clean and tasteful. Break was very good. Expressive and snack closet in every floor. We were looking for restaurant options near the hotel and theater and the staff was not well informed. Only downside.

Pros: The hotel was a cute boutique. We loved the snacks, coffee, and tea. The breakfast was wonderful. We felt like we’re eating in a tropical jungle. Cons: VERY expensive to park your car and the bathroom was super tiny.

This place was amazing. My friend and I went to a concert at the Balboa Theatre. It is within walking distance of the theater and lots of shopping and in many restaurants to choose from. I highly recommend in this quaint hotel. Well absolutely return.
