"We stayed at the Hyatt Place in Nairobi while attending a wedding and honestly it was the best decision. We briefly moved to Landmark Suites to be with the rest of the group, but the accommodations there were so poor that we came right back to the Hyatt Place. The difference was night and day. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day and everything, from the linens to the bathrooms, felt fresh and well cared for. After a long day out in Nairobi, it was always nice coming back to such a clean and comfortable space. The staff was warm, professional, and eager to help. They even upgraded us from a suite to an even nicer suite during our stay, which was incredibly generous and made the experience even better. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. There’s a fresh omelette station, a wide variety of hot and cold options, fresh fruit, and every kind of alternative milk you could want. It’s easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had anywhere. We also loved the upstairs bar and lounge area, which has a foosball table and pool table and creates a fun, relaxed atmosphere in the evenings. The outdoor pool is not heated, but was still a big hit with our kids. And my husband used the gym several times and said it was well equipped. All of the staff members at the location from the entrance and throughout the entire building were very friendly, kind, and provided a delightful environment to be around. On my next trip to Kenya, I will be staying here again. "

"This is a hotel that has been/is being renovated and is trying to become much more attractive for international business and tourist travellers. While the staff was incredibly kind and pleasant, it seems pretty clear that they don't understand what a higher level of service looks like. The AC in rooms and common areas simply has to be widely improved and the bar could use an update. Again, nice people but a lot of standing around when folks have needs."
