There was nothing to like. The property was poorly maintained. It was loud. My room was not ready when i arrived. I went through two different rooms because the first had burn holes in the blankets and the second smelled of dog urine. The property was outdated. The people that were cleaning were not professionals. I am sure they were related to the office staff. It was a horrible experience.

It asked me how was my check in. It was terrible. So I’m not a smoker but they put me in a smoker room as it was the only room available. The desk worker was cool and super nice so that was a plus. The bedsheets have cigarette holes and the room obviously smells like smoke. Other than that, it’s clean and cute.

Unfriendly staff and un comfortable sleep

I had a very late arrival, which was not the hotels fault. But where they added to the difficulty was when i called, the clerk saidnthat i didnt have a reservation. I had already had a difficult enough day and he added to that. Even when i arrived atv4am, from multiple flights delays and time driving to the hotel, the clerk was very abrupt with me becauseni has said that i would areive around 3am and i didnt arrive till after 4am. It was hardly the attitude i needed after a very long, trying travel day. Also, this hotel was difficult to find, even with GPS. The bed and pillows were not particularly comfortable, even as tired as i was. I had a tough timenfalling asleep. I would not recommend this property!

My flight from DFW to ORD was cancelled about the same time I rec'd an email asking me how my check in was. Because I was almost 1000 miles from the motel, I called to make sure nothing was wrong, that my room that I'd prepaid for 2 nights would still be my room when I arrived the next morning. I was assured that no matter when I arrived, room 132 would be mine no matter what time I was able to check in. My flight the next morning was delayed yet another hour, so when I finally got my rental car, I drove right to the Air & Water Show; I didn't get to the motel until about 5p. I was then told I was a no show the night before, so they kept 1/2 my money and cancelled my second night. They refused to give me a room at the rate I'd originally booked (AND FULLY PAID), saying it was Motel 6's policy and the man I'd talked to Saturday evening gave me bad information. Someone lied to me, and someone else stole my room. They further refused to refund all of my money. I still can't find on Hotels.com where it says Motel 6's policy is, if you don't arrive the first night THROUGH NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN, that the rest of your nights are forfeited and you will be charged for that missed night. I CALLED! I CONFIRMED THAT MY ROOM WAS STILL MINE! I will NEVER stay at or recommend this property. I love the Prospect Heights' Motel 6 and will never waiver from it again. I'm sure when I tell them about what happened, they will be dumbfounded at the criminals running the Rolling Meadows property.

The room smelled of vomit and had stains on the floor; the shower was also very dirty. I requested a new room, which turned out to be worse than the first. I opted to leave and stay in a different hotel.
