There are several sites that offer discounts on San Diego to Las Vegas flights, but CheapTickets is your best choice for cheap flights online. Our competitive prices meanthere is no need to waste your time searching somewhere else for a fantastic deal.
Flights from San Diego to Las Vegas depart from San Diego International Airport (SAN), which is located near the Midway District, across from the Naval Base in Coronado, west of Downtown. SAN is the second-busiest single runway airport in the world. The airport does not serve as a hub for a particular airline, but Alaskan Airlines and Southwest Airlines are the dominant companies here. A taxi from Downtown San Diego to SAN will only set you back $10 to $15, depending on your exact location. Because the airport is located in a heavily populated area, a curfew disallows any departures between 11:30pm and 6:30am, so impromptu red-eyes to Vegas are impossible.
You will arrive at the McCarran International Airport (LAS) in 75 minutes, which should make scheduling your flight much easier to deal with. While the weather is typically hot during the day, the temperature tends to drop several degrees during the evening, so be sure to pack some warmer clothes. Southwest Airlines operates most of its flights from LAS, and the Canadian service WestJet is the dominant international carrier. Its location in Paradise, just five miles from Central Las Vegas makes a taxi ride no problem at all. You'll find slot machines and other casino forays within the arrival terminals, which serves as a de facto introduction to the Strip. RTC Transit buses stop at Terminal 1 just outside the Zero level for your convenience.
