The room itself was not bad. I loved the location. The kitchen staff was really nice. I liked that you had a code to get in and out of the room and main door. My biggest issue with this location is the WiFi. WiFi barely worked and tv did not work. Also, it was almost as if they had up a scrambler because my cell phone would work just fine until I would get back to the hotel then it would go completely out. I have AT&T and Verizon and neither service would work. I had to drive to the nearest 7-11 just to be able to complete some work on my laptop. I even tried hooking up my hotspot and that did not work. The booking agent was very helpful and stayed in communication with me via WhatsApp’s the entire time. She did state that the internet was out and with no estimate time of restoration. I think that was true for my last day but not the others. The shower head was semi damaged so the water was not coming out of the actual head but in fact it was coming from behind the head. I got this hotel last minute because originally where I was staying turned out to be trash so I needed someone last minute as I was already on the island. Overall I do not think i would stay here again just off the internet connection alone. If they would fix that and the shower head I would recommend this place to anyone that does not want to stay in hotel zone and wants to experience playa del Carmen.
