Hotel Breakfast is a fine restaurant so breakfast was 19 euros each only other option was McDonald’s. We went to McDonald’s! We enjoyed the 2 room family room but little things here and there show that the hotel needs some upkeep. Drip stains on the wall, water damage on the ceiling. No shampoo provided, only bar soap and body soap. First visit didn’t have bar soap or any cups. Also, no tissues. Coffee maker in only one of the rooms but it was good.

This hotel was sufficient for our purposes. We had a long layover and left in the morning. The transportation to the airport was great. The Restaurant was pretty good but on the pricy side. The staff was very friendly. The price is great for the area. There really isn't anything else near the hotel but we knew that when we scheduled. The hotel itself is very utilitarian and appears to be going through some much needed renovations which is good. Our room window kept popping open and the handle to secure it was missing (from both windows). Very disappointing for a Best Western. Overall, served our purpose and we weren't adversely impacted by the drawbacks. I just wouldn't stay there longer than we did.

We stayed in the Best Western portion of the Amsterdam Airport Bastion/ Best Western Hotel on September 13,2025. Parts of the hotel are under renovation. Our first room was not the type of room we had reserved nor was it in good condition, so Viviana helped us greatly by moving us to a deluxe king room (per our reservation) that was very suitable. The dinner served in the Bastion Restaurant was very good and the included airport shuttle was excellent making one stop at the airport- we needed to leave the hotel at 6 am. A very convenient hotel for airport travel.

Always a great hotel to stay at with American size rooms for larger families! Not like Ibis where they will try and charge you for 2 rooms for 4 people!! Onsite dining is best at the Bastion with great selection and Ron is a great front of desk manager!
