Poor setup! Wish i was able to cancel

The room smells like mold, really need a better ventilation! It is disappointing that they tried to make it look good with the updates, but it is missing final touch. The renovation looks poor. The landscape needs some work too. We weren't feeling safe, i am not sure how they can achieve that, but it is definitely my last time staying in such hotel/motel confuguratuon where the rooms door is right outside. I did ask to cancel the reservation because we were shocked, but it was refused!

nice place

Very friendly staff, and the room was nice. The a/c worked perfectly, there were several food choices nearby and the place was quiet, even on a Friday night. It was a little tricky to figure out where to park, but I blame that on me not paying attention more than the hotel.

Superior room?

First of all, when we went to check in there was an ambulance and several police cars in the parking lot. Never what you want to see when you arrive at your hotel. While I realize that this was beyond their control, it didn't start my visit well nonetheless. Once inside the room, first thing is it smelled odd. But In fairness that doesn't seem to be unusual for hotel rooms and it cleared out quickly. Second thing was the TV did not work. While waiting for a response from the front desk I figured out the problem myself. Last and kind of most importantly, please don't call a room Superior when it's actually probably less than most other regular rooms I've ever stayed in. I'm still trying to figure out what made this Superior... it was certainly not the water pressure or the uncomfortable beds. Overall not a horrible place just to sleep on the road but that's about all I can say. I guess with an 8.4 rating I just expected better.

We stayed here because it is rated 8.8 "very good", and was one of three hotels with vacancies on this date. All of the other hotels were all booked for that night. As I drove up I immediately felt unsafe at this place but had already made a reservation. When I tried to enter the office to check in it was locked. The staff member walked up and unlocked the door. I went in and he asked for my ID. I handed it to him and then he told me to go wait in my car as he handed my ID back. I asked why? He said he had to walk around and find a clean room. Several minutes later he came back and helped another guest who arrived after me. As he checked me in he told me he was tired and had not been able to eat all day. I said okay. He gave me 1 room key and we went to our room. Through out the evening the parking lot was fille with teens hanging out in the parking lot. The room stunk of cigarette smoke. I cant figure out why this place had an 8.8 rating. NEVER AGAIN!!!

The rooms were clean for an older facility. Sheets and beds were clean and comfortable. The outside environment had suspicious individuals constantly walking around and hanging out at rooms. The area was okay to be in. Very impressed with the interior of the rooms. It was a decent stay for what I needed it for.
