Just who is Bocephus? Hank Williams, Sr., nicknamed his son after the Rod Brasfield’s ventriloquist dummy. Brasfield was a comedian and Grand Ole Opry star. Hank Jr., played his first show in 1957 in Swainsboro, Georgia, along with Ernest Tubb and Grandpa Jones.
