Country superstar Keith urban will be hitting the road (again) on his Light the Fuse Tour this summer as it was recently announced that a third leg of his cross-country trek has just been added to the tour, which started in July 18 of last year in Cincinnati, Ohio.
What that means is that by the time the electrifying country singer is done at the end of summer 2014, he will have played at 28 outdoor shows and 58 shows in total, including his first time performance at the Hollywood Bowl.
Urban’s Third and final leg of this enormous tour kicked off last January in Grand Rapids, Michigan and included five concerts up north in Canada, one at Madison Square Garden in New York and another in the town where he’s from, and his family now lives, Nashville, Tennessee.
Known for his song “Little Bit Of Everything”, Urban is truly bringing a little bit of everything on his tour as well, with new music, some of the best performers on tour right now including Dustin Lynch and an all-new tour production.
The singer also has an album that, for right now, is scheduled to be released on September 10 of this year, as well as fulfilling his duties as a judge on the hit television program American Idol (as it’s only returning judge this year).
Back in September 2013 Urban saw his seventh studio album, Fuse, released and it went on to become his fourth #1 album. Amazingly, it was the first time that a male country singer had an album debut at the top of all of the genre charts in United States, Canada and Australia at the same time.
Little Bit Of Everything went on to become a #1 hit on the Country Singles Chart and, soon after, We Were Us made it there as well, a song he sang along with Miranda Lambert. That means that, going back to Without You in 2011, Urban has seen five of his songs in a row go to the #1 spot.
For many fans of the country superstar, all of these number one hits are no surprise. It was way back in 2001 that the Country Music Association first took note of Urban when it awarded him its Horizon Award, the award for the most talented artists who they believe have the brightest future. Urban went on to win the Male Vocalist of the Year award from the CMA’s that year, the first Horizon Award winner to ever do that.
Because of his excellent reputation as one of the best songwriters and vocalists in country music today, Urban has worked with an amazing lineup of superstars in both country and in a number of other genres as well. Those include Alicia Keys, the Rolling Stones, Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift and even Steven Tyler from Aerosmith.
