Cheap flights from Washington DC to Paris

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is the main airport for the nation’s capital. It’s located just off I-66 and I-95, making it a convenient airport to drive into. If you’d rather avoid parking your car for the duration of your trip, public transportation options like the Washington Flyer Silver Line Express bus service are very affordable.

Non-stop flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) take about eight hours, with one-stop flights averaging around 12 hours. Once here, you can exchange currency and shop duty-free before heading out to the city from CDG, via the RER B (Blue) line into Paris.

Attractions and Tips

Once in Paris, you’ll naturally see the Eiffel Tower from afar, but you must head over to the monument and ride the elevators to the top. The Louvre is the world’s most famous museum, in part because the best-known painting in the world, da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” is housed there. The Notre Dame de Paris is also famous in its own right, and you must walk under the Arc de Triomphe onto the Champs-Elysees so you can shop until you drop.

The best times to visit Paris are in the spring and fall because it’s less crowded and you’re more likely to find accommodations, but this city enjoys a temperate climate year-round. May is the wettest month, so plan accordingly if you hope to avoid rainy days.
