Situated six miles from Orlando; Orlando International (MCO) airport is easily accessible via Jeff Fuqua Boulevard. This airport is the second busiest in Florida and offers flights to Milwaukee General Mitchell (MKE). When flying to the destination airport, flight times are usually in the region of two-and-a-half hours. To reach Milwaukee from the destination airport, make use of the taxis found outside Baggage Claim 3, or the Coach Bus services outside Bag Claim Exit 5.

For shopping and dining, don't miss the Milwaukee Lakefront area. You can also find plenty to appreciate at the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Harley-Davidson Museum, and Milwaukee Public Museum. For exhibits a bit more lively, check out the Milwaukee County Zoo, which is one of the largest in the country. To try out some specialty food, visit the Milwaukee Public Market in Third Ward. With 30,000 acres of lakes, hills and forests, the Kettle Moraine State Forest is well worth the 45-minute trip out of Milwaukee.

Hints and tips

Summer is the best time to visit thanks to warmer temperatures, but if you visit during winter, you had better pack warm clothing. Most of the hotels in the city are located in the downtown area, but you'll also find a bed-and-breakfast district located on the Westside. Cheaper hotels can be found on the North Side of the city.
