Cheap flights from Nashville to Salt Lake City
Nashville Metropolitan (BNA) is only 10 miles down the I-40 from downtown Nashville, and there are buses to take you to the airport if you don't feel like driving. Flights usually last for just over three hours to Salt Lake City International (SLC). The airport is a quick 8 mile trip away from downtown Salt Lake City, and taxis are waiting for you outside the terminal building. Buses and trains are also available to take you to Salt Lake City or other parts of Utah.
Attractions and tips
The epicenter of the Mormon religion, Salt Lake City is home to the central temple of this religion as well as other buildings and institutions important to it. The city also offers other attractions, such as the Natural History Museum of Utah, with its wonderful interactive exhibits, and the Family History Library, the largest of its kind in the world and the place for genealogists to trace their family history. The city is also an excellent starting point for wilderness hikes in the surrounding countryside such as at Big Cottonwood Canyon. All in all, Salt Lake City has something for everyone.
Salt Lake City experiences all four seasons, with snow in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer. It is advisable to check the weather prior to your trip and pack accordingly. The city's hotels are mostly found in the downtown area and cater to all travel budgets.
