Growing up in Orlando, Wayne Brady began developing his acting chops at a young age by becoming involved in community theater and improv. After moving to Los Angeles, he began performing on Kwik Witz, a sketch comedy TV program. His big break came when he joined the British show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, an improv show that was so popular it was redone for American audiences with Drew Carey hosting. Brady was a regular performer on the show, cementing his status as a household name and even winning an Emmy Award. In 2001 he launched a variety show, which was followed by a daytime talk show the next year. He made the leap to Broadway to star in Chicago, a debut that would eventually be followed by roles in musical theater hits like Rent, Kinky Boots, and Hamilton. He started hosting Let's Make a Deal in 2009, finally winning an Emmy for his work in 2018. That same year he also began a new role, Dr. Reese Buckingham in The Bold and the Beautiful, giving him even more airtime on CBS.
