Pioneers of Southern Rock

After the Vietnam War, members of The Toy Factory came back home to revamp their bands lineup, while also adopting the name "Marshall Tucker Band". In 1973, the band released their self-titled debut album, which certified gold by 1975 and included their hit track "Can't You See". Within the decade, The Marshall Tucker Band would go on to release 9 albums, five of which were certified gold and two of which that became certified Platinum. The band had difficulty maintaining this success after 1980 when the band's bassist and co-founder, Tommy Caldwell, was killed in a car accident. Toy Caldwell, who is the main songwriter for the group, only contributed a couple songs to the albums following the incident. However, through lineup alterations and introductions to different sounds, the Marshall Tucker Band legacy still lives on today, playing about 150 to 200 shows annually.

The beginning of 2022 kicked off with the famous Marshall Tucker Band on tour in North America. The tour celebrated their 50th anniversary with all their fans. The band started performing in Texas in January and went to Tallahassee, Detroit, Pittsburgh and more top cities around the country.
