His birth name is Gary Maurice Lucas Jr., and his resume consists of rapping, singing, acting, songwriting, and record producing. He grew in popularity in 2015 from the release of his critically acclaimed single “Ross Capicchioni”. After his popularity grew he released more and more popular songs. From songs trending on YouTube to collaborations on songs with other famous artists. He collaborated with Eminem on the song “Lucky You” that was released on Eminem’s 2018 album Kamikaze. “Lucky You” reached number six on Billboard Hot 100.

Career

Joyner Lucas started his career under the name Future Joyner. His uncle Cyrus tha Great helped Joyner’ work on his rap career in the early stages. In 2011, Joyner released his first mixtape called Listen 2 Me. After fellow artist Future grew in popularity, Joyner changed his stage name from Future Joyner to Joyner Lucas. He went on to release another mixtape called Along Came Joyner in 2015. Later that year he was featured at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. His popularity began to grow and in 2016 he signed with Atlantic Records. In 2017, he released a new single that went viral on YouTube. In 2018, he collaborated with multiple famous artists like Eminem and Chris Brown. In 2019, Joyner Lucas collaborated with Logic on a new single.
