Career and Rise to Fame

The Josh Abbott Band was formed in 2006, with the lead members all enrolled at Texas Tech University at the time. Based out of Lubbock, Texas the band dubs themselves as Texas Country. Throughout the years the band’s lineup has seen several changes, with few members of the original band remaining. The band released their debut album in 2008 entitled Scapegoat. Although their first album did not hit any of the country music charts, their second album released in 2010 She’s Like Texas reached the Top Country Albums chart. That same year they also performed to their first ever sold out show in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Throughout the course of their careers the band has collaborated with some of the biggest up and coming names in country music including Kacey Musgraves and Carly Pearce.

Along with a handful of other Texas country music stars, the Josh Abbott Band will take the stage at Globe Life Field with special guests Kevin Fowler.
