About Cole Swindell
Georgia-born country singer/songwriter Cole Swindell got his big break thanks to country superstar Luke Bryan. The two met in 2007 when Bryan performed in Swindell's college town. Staying in touch, Bryan eventually hired him to work as a merchandise guy on tour. Swindell took advantage and began songwriting on the road, collaborating with headlining band Florida Georgia Line. Swindell has since written several songs for Bryan including "Beer in the Headlights," "Love in a College Town" and "Shore Thing."
Billboard chart and awards
The aspiring musician's own debut single - "Chillin' It" - was also written while touring. After that independently-debuted single took off, Swindell signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville in 2013. His debut, self-titled album was released in February 2014. "Chillin' It" quickly went platinum and peaked at No. 1 on the U.S. Hot Country chart. "Ain't Worth The Whiskey," reached No. 3 on the Hot Country Songs chart and "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight," reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Most recently, his new single "You Should Be Here," became the fastest rising single to date. The fresh new talent took home the accolade for New Artist of the Year at the 2015 ACM Awards.
