Trailblazing Southern Metal Rock

Zakk Wylde had already tried his hand at other bands when he and drummer Phil Ondich decided to sit down and record an album. The collaboration spawned Sonic Brew and became the basis for Black Label Society. Following Sonic Brew's release in 1999, Black Label Society recorded prolifically, despite frequently lineup changes. They became famous for their audacious live shows, performing at events like Ozzfest, Gigantour, and Download Festival. Their popularity ballooned as fans got sucked into the spectacle of rock star attitude and raw musical talent. They've become famous for their Southern-influenced rock, but that doesn't mean Black Label Society is a one note metal band. They surprised fans with their 2013 live album, Unblackened, toning down the metal and amping up the blues.

2019 Tour

Black Label Society announced their fall tour that kicked off in September. Tagging along with them is The Black Dahlia Murder and Alien Weaponry. This month-long tour included stops in Colorado Springs, Houston, Boston, Jacksonville, and more.
