About New York Knicks vs. Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks have been locked in a fierce rivalry since 1977. The Pacers-Knicks rivalry is widely regarded as one of the most bitter not only in the NBA, but in all of major league sports. Adding fuel to the fire, the two teams have met each other in the playoffs on six occasions from 1993-2000 with both teams winning three series each. Pacers legend Reggie Miller also had a fiery and contentious feud with Academy Award nominated director and loyal Knicks fan, Spike Lee.

While the feud did cool down a little in the early 2000’s, it fired up again in the 2013 NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference Semifinals when the Pacers were able to outshine the Knicks.

With so much history between the two teams, it’s easy to see how the rivalry will never truly disappear. The Pacers-Knicks games have always produced some of the most exciting matchups in the NBA.
