It’s the classic battle between New York and Cleveland. One is the financial capital of the world with world famous landmarks. The Ohio city is also home to the 2016 NBA Champions the Cleveland Cavaliers. And as for New York, it will always have the Knicks.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks may have gone up against each other a number of times, but these two Eastern Conference teams do not have a particularly famous rivalry. December 15, 2012 – This was a tough game for both the Cavaliers and the Knicks. The New York Knicks were red hot with the best record in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers on the other hand had Kyrie Irwing in a Dark Knight mask. The game was a nail biter with both teams fighting for every point. Having made the first free throw, he was unable to do it the second time, giving the Knicks a win 103-102.

Cleveland Rocks! – Its February 4, 2017 and the Cavaliers are in New York for their four game trip. They have already beaten the Knicks in October and December and February is no different. Even with Irwing out, the Cavaliers decimate the Knicks in Madison Square Garden. Even though the Knicks launched a spirited comeback in the third and fourth quarters, the Cavaliers with LeBron James turned out to be a little too tough to chew. The Cavaliers ended the game with a 111-104 win and marked their win streak to nine games in a row.
