Never have I had to wait so long to check in. The woman Helen has no customer service skills. With no one around, she continued typing rather than check me in-tired from a flight and hungry. I left my bag and went to sit in the chair across from her in the lobby. Another person came from the elevator and asked her a question. Unlike me who she told to wait, she proceeded to help the lady for a while then took care of me without even apologizing. As a doctor, I am aware of people waiting and how it irritates them so I always apologize to patients-even if I am on time-for the wait. The gentleman at the podium post was kind, courteous and helpful. He helped me find a CVS and a place to eat and asked me how it went when he saw me again. Great customer service. Perhaps getting more front desk people on a Saturday would help but hands down the worst front desk I have seen ever in any hotel.

Not worth it!

I was charged a 100 deposit when I checked in that I was not told about before. The room is very out dated. In the restroom were tiny roaches crawling on the sink area. I couldn’t put my stuff on the counter cause I was scared to get roaches in it. The room is very dark with no lighting. I guess so you can’t see the roaches crawling. The room smells very musty and stuffy like the AC has never been cleaned . I asked for a 1pm checkout and was denied cause they were sold out. Funny thing is at 12pm when I was told I had to check out I sat in the dining area since my flight wasn’t till 7pm and it was raining out. They didn’t go into my room to clean till almost 3pm! But demanded me out by 12pm or I would be charged another night. I was given 2 drink tickets one for me and one for my partner and was told happy hour was from 630-730. We went down at 645 and was told no it was from 530-630 and we couldn’t use the tickets! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone coming to this area for the price for the night take ur money to a newer hotel and get its worth.

I only stayed 1 night, and left early in the morning. Room was affordable, and big. Bed comfortable, the food in the restaurant was very good (wings/sliders/quesadillas) - and the staff was extra friendly there, and went over/beyond service. Parking garage was easy to maneuver - although pricey at $50/night. Only negative was that neither of our TV's worked. I didn't really want to watch shows, but would have been nice to hear the news while I was getting ready. There was "no signal" on both TV's - in living room and bedroom. Hotel appears somewhat dated with dark wood/doors and decor - could use an updated, and things should be repainted - but overall it was a 4 out of 5 for a slightly dated hotel. All toilietries were offered, although they are the eco-friendly ones - so the shampoo doesn't suds up, etc...but they are there. Iron/board/hair dryer/safe/fridge/coffee maker...etc. Views are nice of the city, appears to be many shops around - although I didn't have time to explore them. Hotel apparently offers pet stay - as I saw a few people with them - if you need that information.
Restaurant area. Offered 2 free drinks per person during happy hour, and light cheese/cracker snacks. Food on menu was very good, and reasonable $.
Liked the furniture in the suite - necessary for my older mother, who can't "sit on a bed" for furniture. Also had a table/chairs.
Hallway to bedroom, closet for clothes/iron board/iron, suitcase rack.
Hallway from door into living room - lot of wasted space here, but enjoyed more room than not.

The rooms need to be updated. It was not what i had expected. It was very dull and old looking and dark colors. Even the carpet was dark. Dark old sofa bed. Not very cheerful and welcoming colors. I would prefer more white colors and bright colors. THe windows barely opened and no screen door. Also the bathtub was old. The Happy Hour was poor. Cheese and crackers and veggies, I was hopeing for something more, like hot appetizers. Also the breakfast crowd was kind of ghetto. People with no shoes on, barefoot at breakfast and wearing bonnets on their head, in Pajamas and night gowns!? OMG

I liked the walking distance to shops, public transportation, and places to eat. The room was quite comfortable, with a living room area to sit back, relax and watch tv. The breakfast featured a nice selection and was well stocked. What I disliked was the 2 drink maximum during the managers happy hour. All the Embassy suites I have stayed at offered a happy hour allotment of time (1.5 - 2 hours). And lastly, the management really needs to provide customer service satisfaction training to it's employees at this establishment. We were met with very unfriendly, lack of warmth, and very short responses from a majority of the employees. A friendly "good morning" reply when greeted with a "good morning" gesture would have been nice.
