Waited 45 mins for the shuttle. No one answered the phone when we tried to call several times. When we arrived, the hallways were very very dirty and smelly. The morning breakfast looked good but we didn’t have time to try it.

I’d like to say that this hotel is an example of “you get what you pay for” and not “I was pleasantly surprised”, but I can’t even say that. Even at the price point, it was extremely disappointing. We called for the airport shuttle as soon as it arrived at the airport and was told it would be 20-25 minutes. We ended up waiting over an hour for the shuttle and the driver had a serious attitude problem. Check in was smooth. They charge the full amount to your credit card upon check-in. Our first room was disgusting. The floor was dirty, there were dried blood spots throughout the room and pieces of dirty toilet paper all over the bathroom floor. We immediately requested another room. This room was cleaner but the temperature in the room was impossible to regulate. It was either oven or ice box. The shower curtain rod was broken and it was impossible to shower without getting water all over the bathroom floor and toilet. Out from was ground level and had a sliding door to the outside. The bar to prevent opening the door from the outside was flimsy and could easily be opened from the outside, and the sliding door was left ajar. It was unsafe and we didn’t leave any valuables in the room because of this. The condition of the hotel is very poor. Carpets are dirty, holes in walls, dirt all over the wallpaper. The breakfast is good, but we did observe transients entering the hotel and eating from the buffet.

Overall, it was a decent experience as a first time guest at the Quality Inn in Mississauga, Ontario. The room, lobby and exterior areas were clean, the staff were friendly, and most amenities were in good condition. The only things that I wished were better was the Breakfast (some items were served cold, and the bread was hard like a rock) and that poor Automatic Door at the front entrance was clearly on its last legs. The reader was not registering that people were standing in front of it. The shuttle guy was tapping the reader and it eventually opened. Thankfully it wasn’t -20 that day and we had someone who knew what to do to get inside. Being stuck out in the cold would have really sucked. Automatic doors should be, you know, Automatic. Not hoping for the best.

Breakfast was more than adequate. Airport shuttle was convenient and available 24hrs. Room was clean but the front door was hard to close, floor transition to the bathroom was broken, minor maintenance issues. Also, the hallways required vacuuming.

This is a poorly run hotel and it’s run down. Terrible customer service, in that it’s non existent after midnight. The people giving 5 of 5 stars need their head examined, obviously they have never stayed in an actual 5 star hotel.
