Decent hotel in a good central location only a few minutes walk from union station. I’ve to have a bar and restaurant on site although we didn’t eat there. The staff were very friendly and there was even a celebration cake in my room on arrival for my birthday which was a lovely touch.

This is a wonderful piece of Toronto history, its oldest hotel dating from 1909. One of a chain of hotels all Canadian and owned by Silver corporation. Updated of course, and basic but very clean and so conveniently located in the downtown Toronto. It is our go to when ever we are visiting Toronto as it is reasonably priced, the staff are wonderful and and the beds are superbly comfortable.

Overall the hotel was perfect for our needs. Central location can walk to station, sights and restaurants. Hotel staff polite and helpful. We had a 2 queen room which was spacious, bathroom was looking very tired could do with updating. Only negative housekeeping forgot to give us new towels, having taken the old ones away and not replenishing the toilet roll!
