Indifferent, pedantic yet excessive number of staff on hand. Inefficiently laid out rooms. No luggage rack, slippers, robe or anywhere to place your toiletries in the bathroom. Staff were very loudly chatting in the hallways in the early hours and the sound woke us up. Did not feel this was a four-star property or experience.

Hotel Riu Plaza Toronto was absolutely fantastic! Everyone who worked there was so friendly, greeting you as you entered and left the hotel. Our room was perfect and had a beautiful view! Breakfast was delicious with such a wide variety of items to choose from, all fresh and plentiful. Perfectly located, central to all the major stops in downtown Toronto. Thank you so much for such a fabulous stay!

The Riu is just a few months open and they’ve already hit their groove in terms of efficiency. Check-in and check out were super easy and efficient. The room made the most of its space and I loved that there was luggage storage under the bed! Everything was spotless! The complimentary breakfast was really tasty and fresh and changed up a bit each day we were there. I love the idea of the room key controlling the lights, but unfortunately nothing charges when you’re away from the room. I’m all about not wasting energy but perhaps one outlet that’s well marked that stays on when you’re out would be great. The lobby bar is awesome and offers a great coffee beverage in the morning saving having to go find a nearby cafe. I’ll definitely book here again! Thanks for the great stay!

From the moment we walked on the property we were greeted and had all our things taken and carried to our room. Seeing that it is a new hotel it goes without saying the place was perfectly maintained and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was a full menu and delicious. No parking available from the hotel, however there is a garage steps away from the hotel. Being in the heart of downtown everything from restaurants, mall, activities are minutes. 5 stars for me!! Thanks for a great experience Riu Plaza
