The home is ideally located in proximity to downtown Lodi, restaurants, and wineries. The home is clean and has a nice layout. The private backyard and front porch are relaxing-. Nice place to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Street parking was available as mentioned on the website. The property owner(s) were helpful and communicated well with their customers.

Wonderful escape to a private, quiet getaway

Every aspect of the Grape Escape was excellent. Large spacious common area, large new kitchen and comfortable towels and linens. Instructions very clear from the host and host very responsive to messages. A short walk to downtown in a quiet neighborhoood...highly recommended!

Very clean. Check-In was fast, secure, and easy. Spacious living areas, gorgeous kitchen, beautifully decorated rooms and common areas with a large, shaded backyard and lots of amenities! Located on an beautiful tree-lined street within two blocks of historic downtown.

The house and room is amazing. Quiet, comfy, and the entire process of the stay was excellent. I wished I could’ve spent more time enjoying all the amenities in the house and yard but we were busy with family celebrating a graduation. Next time!

Enjoyed the character of the old craftsman property and the craftsman homes around the neighborhood. The walkability to restaurants. The home had all the amenities you could ask for if you were having a large group renting the entire property or just a couple as the kitchen was amazing.

Too many long emails

The room and the property are very nice. My main complaint is that they send too many long emails. When arriving I had to search through several old emails too find the correct one with the entry codes (and then the code based on my phone number did not work).

The street is safe, wide, beautiful, and clean. It is easy to park. The place itself could use a bit of an update. The temperature is either hot or cold. The water pressure gets low in the morning. The room needs a bit of cleaning. Also, pillow case was stained. Pillows were uncomfortable.

This is a lovely older house that has been converted to a multi room Inn. Each room I believe with a private bath. It’s been remodeled/updated and has a huge state of the art kitchen. Yet, the bones are still vintage which we loved. It’s located very close to downtown in a beautiful neighborhood in Lodi. It would be perfect for a family reunion or a group of friends wanting to visit the wonderful wineries in the area. We were extremely happy with this gem and give it highest marks and would gladly stay there again.

We loved staying at Grape Escape! The best way to describe this is a bed and breakfast without the breakfast. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. I have two recommendations for the owners: A whiteboard or the like by the front door with first names and the dates of people who are staying there - that way you know how many people are in the house with you. Another suggestion is listing or a note in Merlot #1 to advise that Merlot #2 is just outside the bathroom door. When we first arrived we thought there was a mistake and we didn't book the two rooms. It was easy to find after exploring but would have been easier if it was noted somewhere.

What a gorgeous updated home (Inn). Love the location and communication from Karen, the apparent innkeeper. A great choice in Lodi. So far give it a 5 . The family eating area/kitchen is amazing. This Inn is huge and would hold an entire wedding party or family reunion or just a couple on a weekend or wine tasting vacation to Lodi.

There aren’t enough nice things to say about this property. The home is large, beautifully decorated, the bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and linens, and all this within walking distance to downtown Lodi. A delightful and unexpected surprise was the huge gourmet kitchen and outdoor grills and eating areas. I will definitely rethink my next visit to take more advantage of those amenities. Jayden was wonderful anytime I had questions or had an issue and it was addressed immediately. I definitely recommend the property and I will certainly be back.
