"Rooms need to be updated and floors cleaned-our feet were very dirty from the floors. Front desk clerk was snippy for no reason which never happened on previous visits with other employees- she was not welcoming to us at all. This was our 5th visit to La Fiesta but will not return."

"The property and the room were great, staff was very helpful on all shifts. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We needed to ask once in our 5 day to have the room serviced but the rest of the time the room was taken care of very well. Our 4th floor beachside balcony gave us a very nice view each day. Our final evening on the balcony was ruined by someone smoking a cigar nearby. Breakfast was usual hotel food with eggs and waffles and cereals and pastries. My main issue was the beach. The hotel is on the beach but it is a very long walk across soft sand to the water and once near the water there is a 4 to 5 foot drop to get to the water's edge and it is a fairly long walk again to get to a spot where it is easy to get down and the up again. The hotel is within walking distance to some very good restaurants and there is a paid trolly service to downtown St Augustine. It was a very nice stay for my wife and I but we wished the ocean was more accessible"
