Cantera 1910 is a beautifully designed boutique hotel just steps from the main square. The rooms are clean, modern, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. Breakfast is pleasant. Overall a great value.

We really liked how peaceful this place is, this is a newish property where the common areas and rooms are tastefully designed with a minimalist but warm style. We stayed at the master bedroom located in a third floor which has a beautiful balcony with a great view. The staff is very attentive and helpful when needed.

El hotel es muy bonito, está super bien ubicado y el personal es muy amable. Lo único que no me gustó es que nos tocó el cuarto de la entrada al hotel y era muy difícil dormir pues entre la luz y el ruido de la calle que se metían asi como del resto de los huespedes que tenían a fuerzas que pasar por ahí, lo hacian bastante complicado. Mi recomendación es que si les dan ese cuarto oidan otro pues es un hotel que vale la pena.

San Miguel get away

The check in was smooth, the room was clean but suite 9 is a bite small. There is a table and chair that is on the way to the other side of the bed so it's a little challenging to go around. Also, the bathroom design is very hip and modern but not functional. There is a glass door before toilet and shower that doesn't reach the ceiling so there is zero privacy for number two and definitely bring your poopori since the closed glass door doesn't have any kind of barrier. The bed sheets looked washed but had stains on it so we had to request them to change it. The breakfast is decent, coffee is not good and service is a bite slow. Hotel location is excellent, front desk staff are excellent and overall it's a cute hotel. Would I stay here again is a maybe.

On its way to five stars

This would have been 5 stars but employees would stand in the entry way smoking which would drift into your room and wake you up. This happened on two separate occasions, same employee. We found this to be odd as they stress the importance of it being a non smoking property and have you sign a declaration with attached penalties for smoking in room.

Recently remodelled, the rooms are sleek and modern, but also functional and pleasant to use. The rooms have enough sound proofing that the events or parties nearby were not a problem, even for light sleepers. The king beds were firm and comfortable. The included breakfast was ok, but the coffee was some of the weakest I've had. Their espresso drinks (not included) were good. Parking is a nightmare, as this is the historic downtown. The hotel partnered with a parking lot and a valet service, but this was never available when we drove in, even if we gave them half an hour of notice; with nowhere to wait, one ends up circling the block. Related, the hotel would benefit from a loading area, to avoid blocking the road.

Nice property, great location, few areas to improv

Feels very new, great price and great location. I would give it five starts BUT the shower hot water situation is not good. You have to leave the sink on for five minutes for the shower to heat up and it never gets hot.

Liked the hotel. Only issue was check-in time. We arrived 30 minutes before check-in and they had us wait until 3 p.m. which is the actual check in time but there was no signs of hotel being busy. Felt like they could have allowed us to check in earlier. Right at 3pm we were given our key. Other than that clean, small room.
